More Bad Bears

More of the bad bear and Clive series, the bear with his spine exposed is either going to be torn apart by the zombie bad bear, or I may be making a new dinosaur character and have him eat the poor guy...

Bad Bear Eats Clive

A new piece of work i've been working on for a while, i'm going to be producing a few more pieces of textile based pop art soon I hope, so keep your eyes peeled. Most people who know me have seen my felt creatures or even have a few ive given them, but these are different, dedicated pieces of artwork that hopefully will be showcased soon.

Cadaver Issue 1 Version 2.0

Some of (in my opinion) the best of Cadaver magazines layouts that I produced. The magazine set out to expose up and coming new illustrators to deadlines, art direction and real world briefs, producing topical and incisive work along the way.

Cadaver magazine Ver 1.0 - Sam Hammond

Sam's politically inspired work for Cadaver was printed onto two 1 inch badges, and then stuck inside the little holder I designed for them, his work comprised two simple line drawings of faceless military personel, and so I attempted to cary over this utilitarian, sterile design in my work.

Cadaver magazine Ver 1.0 - Hannah Mosley

Hannah's work was so cool that to do it justice I decided not to play around too much with layout and type, and instead focused on presenting her work in a fitting way, her 10 images of boxers fighting were printed as a long strip of paper and folded into a concertina booklet, with the cover shown bellow, a contemporary twist on an old school boxing poster.

Cadaver magazine Ver 1.0 - Zac Gander

This was a flyer that came in the Cadaver pack in its original incarnation, Zac's work was very unusual and very twisted, and so the quote that formed the centerpiece was split across two separate flyers to lessen the impact of his words.

PulP Magazine

Oh god pulp magazine! I didn't enjoy this project, I got taken on with a few days to go before the mag had to go to print and to top it all off the submissions weren't in! Anyways come print day the editor saw fit to change my layouts so the images below aren't actually a representation of my printed work, but I assure you are miles better than those that appeared in the mag...i'm not bitter, honest.

FELT! at the Link, and Free Felt!

Producing the first series of toys based on my doodles and designs, i've now given most of them away to friends, so these photos are the only record I have! Fortunately the series 1 felt toys were just experiments and will soon be making way for a new breed of better creations, as soon as I upload the photos, you'll see them here...

Zombie Photoshoot

The coolest thing i've done in ages...Its only about halfway through but eventually i hope to have about 5 shots, in this kind of Romero, Grindhouse style light. the idea was to promote contemporary watch and trainer designs, but in a new and interesting way, the industrial starkness of the location and the mood and themes used contrast with the candy colored objects.
The makeup and prosthesis I did myself, as for the art direction, that was a collaborative effort with a friend, who also took the photographs.
